About Trauma and the body Friday 27th November 2020 09.30-12
Understanding ACES, how the body is impacted and creating safe spaces in our youth and kids ministry for them to flourish as God's children.
This Webinar at 09.30- 12.00 on Friday 27th November will cover:
Understanding ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences), how the body is impacted by trauma and creating a sense of felt safety for our youth and kids to flourish as God’s children.
This workshop covers two key elements:
1: Being a trauma detective in your setting and how our nervous systems are wired for survival. We will look at what ACES are and how attachment and sensory needs are linked to trauma and the impact this all has on our young people's identity in Christ.
2: What we can do to create a sense of safety and resilience for our young people to face the new normal. We will look at practical strategies such as sensory supports, language and how we can best introduce God's love to these kids.
Length: 2.5 hours which includes two 15-minute breakout discussions
Or early bird rate of £25 if booked before the end of 19.11.20
