About A Sense Of Adventure - Year 6 Camp 2023
We are running a pilot residential for year 6s who are moving up to year 7 called 'A Sense of Adventure'
This is a one-night sleepover in a church in Leeds where we will explore the adventure of what it means to move up into year 7. We will meet on Friday evening before spending the day out at Bramhope scout camp (travel will be arranged) as part of our adventuring. As well as games, teaching and worship all with the focus of preparing year 6s for moving up to year 7 and supporting them with biblical understanding to equip them for this change.
The cost will be £25 (with a bursary available which will reduce the cost to £15).
We are running this on the 9th-10th of June from Friday evening to Saturday evening.
Draft overview timetable for A Sense of Adventure:
Fri 9th June
5pm: Young people arrive, set up tents and social time
6pm-7pm: Meal
7pm-9pm: Evening programme
9pm-10pm: After-hours programme
Sat 10th June
7am: Wake up and pack up tents
8am-9am: Breakfast
9-9.30am: Free time
9.30am-10m: Morning worship
10am: Travel to Bramhope (Travel is arranged and included in the booking)
10.30am: Arrive at Bramhope - set up base
11am-12noon: Morning activity
12 noon-1.30pm: Lunch and free time
1.30pm-5pm: Afternoon activity
5pm-6pm: Evening meal
6pm: Pick up
